The Stephens Green Hotel was the fourth O’Callaghan Hotel in Dublin. The deluxe 4-star hotel offers stylish, modern interior design focused on guest comfort and convenience while old world charm adds substance to this luxurious hotel in the center of Dublin.
With only a two minutes walk from Grafton Street and across the road from the LUAS this hotel has to be the most accessible hotel in Dublin for business and shopping trips to the city and south side suburbs.
The modern glass facade belies the Georgian features inside the building. The hotel comprises of two magnificently restored Georgian buildings, with a heritage of great historical and cultural importance to Ireland. One was home to the great Irish playwright, George Fitzmaurice, while 4 Harcourt Street was the birthplace of Lord Edward Carson, one of the founders of Northern Ireland and a central figure in Ireland’s Unionism movement.
Entering through the tasteful reception area, guests will be struck by the stunning glass atrium, filling the lobby with natural light and overlooking the idyllic Stephen’s Green Park. The stylish interior design throughout the hotel, with wood panelling and soft leather furnishings sitting alongside Georgian stucco ceilings and elegant fireplaces, beautifully showcases the fusion of old and new.
Located on the first floor, the Georgian library has a charming old-world feel, where you can sit in 19th century surrounds, featuring open fireplaces and chandeliers – an ideal way to unwind over a pre-dinner drink. The Stephens Green Hotel is a delight to enjoy and we look forward to welcoming you to our hotel.
Dublin’s best shopping is on the hotels doorstep in Grafton Street, Stephens green shopping centre, and Powerscourt Townhouse to name a few. An added benefit for business and shopping alike is that the LUAS green line station at St Stephens Green is across the road from the hotel and will take guests to Sandyford, Dundrum and all stops along that line.
