Originally built in 1962, the American Hotel not only played host to renowned guests from Martin Luther King, Jr. to James Brown and Elvis Presley, it also holds the distinction of being the first integrated hotel in Atlanta's burgeoning downtown. This integration shone a light on our little corner of the South and helped us become the premier hotel where the Atlanta Braved hosted their competing teams.
